I've been a huge Floyd fan since day one, having seen them live several times and for such a wonderful band it was sad to see them come to this stage. What Gilmour and Mason should have done is just given the album to Waters and just stuck with the few contributions they made as when ever I listen to this album I just can't hear it as a Floyd album. Waters is not the best of singers and this attempt stretches his range to its limits. Without Gilmour's singing you just haven't got Pink Floyd in my eyes (or ears), although some of his best ever guitar riffs can be heard. To be fair to all, neither have really gone on to blaze a trail as solo artists. Gilmour's albums are ok with only a few notable tracks and Waters are all the same, angry about something or someone. In my album collection of all the Floyd albums this one I stack amongst the Roger Waters section. The 'second' Pink Floyd gathering, although there were some good albums, clearly missed the talents of Waters who arguably was the main lynchpin of the band. A decent Roger Waters album but for me a poor/average Pink Floyd album.
