Classic movie of Generation Z childhood. Oscar nominated and appreciated by Grammy and Oscar winner Billie Eilish. To think movie critics gave this movie an average score is APPALLING. Obviously you can tell how old I am and what my interests in music are, but one part of me I will always preface about myself is the way this movie shaped my core as a young child. The first time I realized that I could watch movies over again was the same time, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, blessed my 90’s box-shaped TV screen - the kind that could play DVD and VCR (Wow! Technology!). I know every song, every word, every sound made in this movie even after 20 years. In my heart, this is forever a masterpiece of cinema with a beautiful message that the unyielding spirit will break all chains.
