Spoilers ahead. Lazy writing. The monsters can kill dozens of people in an instance but conveniently they go super slow with the main characters. The scene where the main character is about to die then the monster gets killed from behind has been done by every movie ever since the dawn of time. Scenes where the monsters creep up behind them are over used in this film. I was underwhelmed. The first movie was good because the writers had the audacity to kill off a child at the beginning (which was a shock for the audience), but this movie offered nothing new.

Not good at all. I hate when movies leave unanswered questions. Lazy writing that leaves the audience to come up with their own answers. Why do so many movies do this nowadays!? A little unanswered mystery can sometimes be a nice touch, but every detail of this movie is left to your imagination. I honestly think that the 'professional movie critics' were paid to say good things about it. SPOILERS INCOMMING Nothing comes at night. The world has ended but you never find out why. There is an illness but you don't know how it began or how it spreads. You never see a monster. You never find out what kills the dog. You never find out what opened the door.
