I'm Scottish, so anything I say about this film is going to be heavily biased in its favour. So 5 stars, of course.

I'm unsure who this show is trying to appeal to. It's definitely not trying to appeal to fans of Star Trek TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager or Enterprise. And the humor is not the sort of thing you would let a child watch. It seems to be a show that was designed to mock the entire philosophy of the Star Trek Universe and was written by and for people who don't like Star Trek and like to see Gene Roddenberry's idea of an egalitarian vision of Earth dragged through mud.
