If you like action movies, give it a try. It is kind of like "Die Hard" in the wilderness. The criticism from a guy here named James Man is really obnoxious. The movie is not an 'abomination' this guy simply didn't like it. He mentions recycling an '80s or '90s plot. So what? Movies about most of the superheroes are from 1930's plots, and they are still popular, although there is nothing logical about a statue coming to life (Wonder Woman), a guy becoming basically a were-spider as opposed to a were-wolf because he got bit by a spider (Spiderman). Movies are not meant to be pinnacles of logic; they are meant to be entertaining. If you don't understand that, then there are no movies you could enjoy unless they were written by mathematics and philosophy professors; and there is a good reason why those people don't typically write movies. Also, he is critical of 'good people' being snipers, archers, tree climbers, and knife fighters. What of it? "Good people" are supposed to be helpless, sniveling, whiners who don't defend themselves in life and death situations? His idea of a 'good person' is more illogical, and unrealistic than a superhero. Either way, if you like to complain, and you want everything to be logical (which is by itself unreasonable. Get in a relationship, or deal with children, and see how illogical life can be), then delude yourself into believing that mathematics is all there is to life, and everything follows logical principles. If you want to be entertained by an action movie, then give the movie, Braven, a try.
