Such an important story done astonishingly poorly. Doesn’t feel like the correct time period; acting is a disaster, editing is poorly done and there are unnecessary political undertones that are contextually and historically inaccurate and out of place. F for failure. Brilliant failure.

Really a masterpiece. Everything from the cinematography to acting, theme, folklore and deep meaning... best film. Such a powerful film with a rich visual story about women; our metamorphosis and the factors that create it.

I gave it an honest try. The “connections” are so tenuous. This appeared to be biased and pushing one narrow agenda. The best documentaries are led by curiosity about an issue in it’s ENTIRETY. The last word I would ever use to describe this “documentary” is objective. If you’re like me and watch documentaries to genuinely learn new things, not just to reinforce negative agendas, skip this one.
