Brave, bold, gritty and a masterpiece. Todd Phillips has turned the page of comic book movies to a place we've never been before and if this was a gamble it's paid off big time. Joaquin is more than worthy of an Oscar for this performance and he may have showed us the greatest ever joker. The film isn't for everyone but if you watch it with an open mind the talent on display shines through and the messages within the movie make a big statement in the world we live in today. Quite simply we see what happens to a broken man in a broken world. Overall it gets 5 stars from me and this will be something I'll watch again and again but prepare yourself for the first time!
