A bit of a disappointment. If you want to see Craig's best movies watch Casino Royale and Skyfall, and stop there.
The Craig era has become known for gritty realism, Bond no longer being an infallible robot & some beautiful cinematography. This film is a return to some of the excesses of the past. Too many ludicrous gadgets, the cinematography lost out to the action (and the kill count must equal some of Brosnan's computer-gamesque shoot-em-ups) - the action is interspersed with backstory that feels like it's forcing non-canon surprises on the Bond fans. Saffin's villan lacked depth and was outshone by a "virus".
After the first hour, I thought the most surprising thing was the Hugh Dennis cameo, but it was downhill from there. By the 3rd hour, it is more about Daniel Craig than the James Bond, which isn't a good thing.
