Watched this show cause it was blowing up and I didn't wanna feel left out, but I feel like I could've skipped this one. The plot is so bare bones and cliched, the acting is stilted and over the top. And don't get me started on the overused tropes of love triangles, naive female lead, mean second leads, childhood connection and pushing girls into walls whether they're okay with it or not. Even the conflicts were weaved in so haphazardly that they made no sense given their personalities. (Also how on earth do they expect to convince people that her bare face is criminally unattractive? It's just glasses and some redness, for gods sake.)
I mostly watched for Seojun, who is beautiful and is the only person in the show that seems natural while acting. Jugyeong's far more interesting and cool older sister was another highlight. Soojin had so much potential too, but alas, the show went down a terrible, terrible route. Every antagonist in this show was lame and exaggerated, especially the bullies. And the deja vu I felt while watching Cha Eunwoo literally play the same guy as his 'Id is gangnam beauty' role added to my boredom.
Essentially no one in this show has an actual life, and everyone's peace of mind hinges on Jugyeong's looks which made this a very flat show with zero complexity and character development. If I could give the show props for anything, it would be the fairly accurate portrayal of sibling relationships and the few redeeming moments that are actually funny and cute - like that fight in the karaoke room, and the seosu bromance.
