Andrew Steele – Google

A hugely enjoyable film which follows a part of British and German history that I sadly knew little about. I thought Jeremy Irons was superb at capturing the aging and declining prime minister Neville Chamberlain. The only slight negative in the whole film for me was the actor that played Hitler, in that he totally failed to capture Hitler's demeanor and looked and at times appeared comical, but apart from that problem this an excellant film on all accounts.

I was so much looking forward to seeing this film, as I have not seen a decent dirty Western for years, but sadly my hopes were very short-lived with this film. The power of the dog really is stuff of make belief, its as though all masculinity and reality of American life in the early 1900s has disappeared, in fact we're not in the America but in fact we are actually in 21st century New Zealand, with some posh bloke actor from England trying to act like a cowboy and failing badly. The film and acting gets so bad near the end I even found myself laughing out loud at certain points, the whole thing is boring, slow, and totally unbelievable and sadly fails to ever entice you in !
