Please stop making this movies. One was enough.

The acting is so bad I had to force myself to keep watching bc I had already paid to see it. Might be the worst acting I've ever seen, by every actor, all of them.

Feels like some misogyny dressed up as sci-fi ... Yes, great actors. Yes, concept is cool, but it is horribly applied to a plot that comes across as insulting to women.

Sure, it's entertaining to some extent, maybe because it's so absurd. The plot itself is really not that interesting at all: some crazy lady (Cruella) obsessively keeps trying to upstage another crazy lady (the Baroness), doing ridiculously unrealistic things with the help of her two friends & some random little dogs. These two friends are reluctant to even help her because she is only using them and doesn't even treat them like friends. The thing is, if Cruella keeps ruining every fashion event the Baroness throws, wouldn't the Baroness catch on to this sooner, instead of just letting her ruin things everytime? Furthermore, Emma Stone's accent is barely believable. Emma Thompson, though, is magnificent as always. Frankly, I fell asleep three times trying to watch the whole thing. One critic called this movie "a lifeless slog" that was "cruelly elongated" - which I entirely agree. The dialogue was devastatingly weak throughout the whole film. At least the costumes were fun to see.

I really tried to give it a chance, thinking that perhaps it's quirky acting would grow on me, especially because I like the actors, but alas I couldn't make it longer than 30 minutes. Then, I read the plot and realized I'm glad I didn't even try to sit through the whole thing.

No matter how visually stunning and captivating this movie is, & even if it does speak strongly on behalf of women, we can never deny the fact that it is trying to make a statement about women's roles yet it is WRITTEN BY TWO MEN - which completely contradicts any statement they may attempt to make & reinforces the notion that the male's perspective dominates. How dare two men in 2019 think that they can have the say. All this does is show how their male dominance still presides. If you're going to make a movie about a woman's role, HAVE WOMEN WRITE THE SCRIPT. Sure, a female directed it, but the issue is that the very plot, the very words of the story come from a male viewpoint. It's time to let women speak about their own perspective with their own voice.

Seems like a lot of people are going overboard with their enthusiasm, but this was really just mediocre. Didn't anyone feel how cheesy all of the dialogue is? The actors are all great, sure. The visuals, stunning. But the whole thing feels so CHEESY. All the lines are totally predictable. Have we really run out of creativity & originality?

I haven't read the books, but even if I had, I might still have a few issues with the story. First of all, it seems silly that this whole epic fight over saving the universe comes down to a mere gun fight. Also, how come the "gunslinger" who comes from another world uses the exact same type of bullets we use here in earth? Seems unlikely. Also seems unlikely that these other worlds would even be exactly like earthly humans. Furthermore, I hope the books included more lead characters that are female to make it balanced, because the movie has none. It's pretty much all an all-male cast. Lastly, I hope the book explains more than the movie did, because we are just supposed to buy that the tower protects against dark forces, but they don't explains why or how. However, the acting was pretty good, especially by the lead boy.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS MOVIE.

I really tried to get into it... I tried twice. It feels like the writer wants to make it so complex that it's too much to even comprehend, and it is. A line says, "don't try to understand it... feel it." Ok so I'm trying to feel your movie bro, but still you just keep punching the story around with tacky lines that come out stale, and sci-fi scenerios that make me wish I was just watching Back to the Future. I get it, quantum physics, your thoughts create probability of outcome. The story still doesn't stick. Also, a bit of movie prophecy might be a little touchy with the whole opening scene as a "Siege" (kinda reminds you of Capitol hill?)... But, I did like the score! Musically captivating.
