This movie absolutely astonished me. It is quite a long movie based on the well-known DC villain 'Joker'. However, it is nowhere near a "comic book style movie". It shows how everyone treats Joker in a negative manner and how that starts his descent into madness. Joaquin Phoenix, the actor of Arthur Fleck/Joker, was also one of the best parts of this film. His acting was perfect, the body language, the emotion, the facial expression, everything. He nailed it. Pretty sure he got an Oscar for it, too.
I definitely would NOT recommend letting someone under the age of around thirteen watch Joker, but not only because of the very realistic gore, but mostly because younger kids will probably come out of watching the movie with the wrong interpretations. It involves a lot about mental illness, which can also come under the somewhat positive message/s behind the movie.
10/10.
