Predictable.
A self-entitled, stubborn, politically powerful father learns his adult son is lost in the mountains in a winter storm. He calls in a favour and government resources are allocated to find the lost son and girlfriend, both already dead.
He risks the professional mountain rescue team slowing them down and later refuses to share the resources (from the favour) to find another person with higher probabilities of being alive.
His inability to to learn from previous unsuccessful behaviours pushed away anyone close to him.
