Unpleasant. TLOU 2’s predecessor was one of my my favorite games ever, unfortunately I can no longer say that as this game has stained everything I loved about the first one. I’ll be brief but, characters don’t seem true to who they were in the first game, and the storyline is so bleak that the game is unpleasant and borderline traumatic. I understand what they are trying get at with the message and theme of this game, but it is my belief that people want a game with characters they can love, relate to, or at least appreciate. This game has none of that and will leave you with a general distaste for most characters you play as or are surrounded by. Finally the storyline seems untrue to what makes the original Last Of Us so great. This game is a slap in the face to original fans of the series. I bought the original when I was 13, I waited 7 years to play this game and I wasn’t sure if it would be a perfect game but I never thought it would be so bad as to ruin the original Last Of Us. TLDR: Unpleasant, borderline traumatic, events in tlou 2 ruined the first game for me.
