I highly recommend this movie for anyone looking for encouragement in their faith! It was like seeing a modern version of the book of Acts, I am reminded of how God preaches wisdom out of the mouths of babies, and of his gentle but powerful grace that turns hearts, however hateful or estranged they are, to him with so much love. It had a very encouraging message that seemed sound in doctrine. Yes modern miracles happen - I have witnessed many with my own eyes. There were a few awkward moments in the script but it was quite high quality in production, not low budget at all. Halfway through I was concerned that they made it so the way she was healing people was taking the life out of her, but that is not how it happened. God’s power multiplies when it is shared: it’s more blessed to give than to receive.
If any improvements could make it more realistic in biblical standards, it would be that she healed everyone who came to her not just a few, and did not stop being able to. God’s power is just as present (if not more so) in modern times as in the book of Acts. I appreciate that she always gave credit to God for the miracles.
