Started watching some episodes on DABL tv. No disrespect to the host and hostess of this show, but glad it is no longer active and just reruns. I’ve read the many negative reviews. And as much as I agree with some, you have to also bear in mind that the purpose is for Roger and Tanya to use the furnishings they have in front of them and with a small budget, make the homes sellable and less cluttered. People are losing sight that the whole goal of this show is to guide others on how to declutter, make use of the furniture and decorations they have even if it’s outdated, and shabby and spend just a little money to make some adjustments in order to be able to sell your home. They’re not redesigning the homes so the owners can continue to live in it! Just to make it more pleasant looking because let’s be honest, it’s hard to sell a home when it’s so cluttered that you can’t see the walls, flooring or potential space it has. With that said, the show really is disappointing. The buyers are obviously actors. The open houses are so fake. These buyers pay more attention to the furnishings than to the actual rooms, floor plan layouts, and potential of the homes . Then they bring back the SAME people to the homes to provide positive feedback regarding the furnishings and improved decor!!!? That’s not how an open house is conducted! Fakery utter fakery. I’d like to see a documentary on what happened to these homes after the show aired. Did they actually sell these homes? Or is this all staged??
