I enjoyed all 3 books but felt Mirror and the light was my least favourite. Mantel is a wonderful story teller and her writing of Cromwell and his life is sympathetic and enlightening. I thought with a tighter edit the book could have been reduced by 150 pages at least. There were a number of incidents where the story droned on about nothing in particular and I found myself skimming the pages until I judged that it came back on track. I would still recommend it, though.
