Too big. Too overdone. “Grace’s” voice belongs in an opera. And Harry Connick,Jr? Totally miscast.
I saw Annie when it opened in 1977 and found it brilliant. The revival very good, too. And the movie, yes.
Taraji P. Henson is no Dorothy Loudon or Carol Burnett.
Still, the songs are still wonderful.
But why all the acrobatic dancing?
Plus, Sandy looked miserable.
