I have been playing since 1999 when the very first sim game came out and I've always loved it. When the sims 4 first came out, it was so lackluster and missing so much that I turned it off and didn't bother with it until about 6 months ago. The progress made by the team is night and day compared to the original version of the sims 4. I'm very pleased that the sims team is really listening to consumers now and that they have made so much progress on an ip that I thought would just be too much work for them to fix. There are still things in this game that are missing that I would like to see in the future. ( cars, more pets, pack and expansion updates, a full life stage for babies, more functionality for elders, more building options, more occults, sulani underwater lots for mermaids, backstories for preexisting sims, and general bug fixes.) The sims team has honestly gone above and beyond expectations of what I thought they would do for this game. I am hoping they will flesh it out more, as I do admit, the game can get boring as is. looking back, every single sims game was great for its time and had fantastic innovation. I hope the next iteration consists of the best parts of all of the games. I hope they keep improving the sims 4 though, because it is an enjoyable game for sure!
