Absolutely terrific. One of the most smart, heart-moving, and accurate stories of racism I've ever seen. Deep, tough, and frequently hilarious. Excellent performances. I watched it one night by myself and was captivated. The next night I convinced my wife to watch it with me and we both ended up with tears running down our cheeks. The acting was superb. I studied with Lee Strasberg, and acted for years: stage, television, film. My parents were from Oklahoma and Arkansas. During the fifties and early sixties—when I was a young boy and a teenager—we took many trips to those states. The narrow rights and hard restrictions on freedom for black citizens were shocking, inhuman: WRONG!
