Forget all the hype about the film Archies. If you are looking for content on women empowerment, turn to Dhak Dhak. A charming road trip tale told through the eyes of its four women protagonists. In the end, it leaves you with a feel good and yet liberating Emotion. Perfectly cast and enacted. A must watch.

Mimi was a joyful movie experience. The message is conveyed in the most beautiful way, without shoving it down your throat. This movie made me laugh, made me cry, made angry, but in the end it made me want to applaud! Lovely acting by an ensemble cast. While it does have moments that seem unrealistic, overall this movie has its heart in the right place. Definitely worth watching!

This is a must watch movie for all women and especially for men in their lives. Men do not see beyond their egos. Women mostly stay invisible, till an incident triggers an action. This premise has been well handled in “Thappad”. Terrific performances by all the characters make this movie worth a watch. Well done Mr. Sinha.

The movie is well done balancing the emotion and the tennis action to keep the audience engaged in a story they probably think they know. The lead actors do a terrific job of keeping you engaged. Well supported by an ensemble cast of young actors playing Venus and Serena. The movie offers a peek into the mind of Richard Williams and his vision for what the future might hold for his young girls. Would recommend watching it.

My last Mission Impossible was several years back. So, I was really looking forward to this one. But, I was disappointed. Willing suspension of disbelief in cinema I understand. But this ‘mission’ Nos 7 was stretching it beyond disbelief!! And then, it was way tooo long. Did the final set piece on the train need to go on for that long? Having said that, the first one hour of the movie had me completely engaged. The slick production and sound design were brilliant.

Loved this movie. Not simply because I lived for a long time in that city and a Bulls fan, but because this was such a well crafted story and brilliantly enacted by all the lead players - Matt Damon and Viola Davis in particular.

This movie deserves better rating than what Rotten Tomatoes has given it! It handles two very sensitive topics: race and religion with humor to bring out how we can approach these issues if only we let go of our assumptions and admit we are ignorant of other cultures. We tend to stereotype or think we understand and know all about different cultures. The truth is we don’t get it till we live it. I think this film deserves to be seen so we can appreciate each other’s culture better and live in harmony with each other. Thumbs up for ‘You People’ to have attempted this subject.

Top Gun Maverick did not disappoint. For those who remembered seeing the original, seeing the sequel was never going to be easy. But Maverick did good. With the right balance of action and emotion the movie soars high. Tom Cruise flies and lands this fighter jet perfectly.

I give Dasvi 4 stars because it engaged my attention unlike some other OTT films. The intent of the movie is earnest, it uses humor to make a social commentary. But the movie lacks consistency, script could have been stronger. However, the three key actors do their best to deliver competent performances, that makes the movie watchable and enjoyable. Abhishek was a delightful surprise, Nimrit was fantastic, Yami was good.
