"Go Ask Alice" is a dreadfully over-long account of a middle class teenage girl's hard knock life fantasy, comically misrepresenting the average drug addict's experience in an effort to warn curious people away from such a future(I'm guessing). As someone who's been through most of what this novel tried to describe, it's clear the author had either no idea what she was talking about or tried to make a gritty reality more palatable for certain audiences. The result was a cheap mimicry of influential literature. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I found this book boring and almost offensively audacious at best.
Also, even a fifteen year old girl in the early seventies didnt say/write 'Oh!' that much. Its high key annoying.
