There's only one thing that makes this movie stupid... And it's the same thing that always made the Green Lantern stupid... Creating anything you can think of from the ring is a stupid idea. In the movie there is a great example of this when Hal Jordan rescues a flying helicopter by turning it into a Hot Wheels car on a life-size Hot Wheels track, the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Not entirely the fault of the director though, he was just using the tools he had been given. Outside of this the movie is fantastic, extracted right out of a comic book the way it should be. Visually stunning for sure. I mostly liked it.
