I love the Today Show. You gave at least a small blurp to NE for the east side of the state. Everyone tends to ignore the west side. We had a blizzard, flooding day before blizzard and lost of cattle and calves. (Still don’t know true loss until 5 to 10’ snow drifts melt.) My daughter walked a 1/4 of mile in chest high drifts to try and help cows and newborn calves. Found one in distress. Put it over her shoulders, carried through pasture. By the time she got to the highway she was exhausted. She then dropped to her knees to crawl down the middle of the highway through the snow drifts with the calf on her back. Her husband was plowing the road saw her got out of tractor got to her picked up calf put in tractor turned back to the house. Went to pick up calf from under heater to take him into the house and he was dead. My daughter was so upset. Until 2 yrs ago she was a town girl. Even though she lost the calf I could not be more proud of her. That’s western NE and how we care.
