I'm writing this immediately after getting home from the theater.This Batman, "The Batman", was clearly way beyond expectations. Nothing like what we've seen before. Takes you back to the comic and cartoon days. This movie doesn't show Batman as the superhero, oh no. It shows how Batman is also just a human like all of us with no special powers. Emotionally, physcially, Batman goes through everything any normal human would. The gadgets that a Billionaire Orphan could afford are believeable and not over the top. The relationship between Alfred and Batman has clear boundaries and they know it, they are very aware. And that makes it a lot more believeable and touching as they still care about each other more than anybody else. You'll see Batman being vulnerable with Selina as well. Its so refreshing to see them both lose themselves to each other as they work through the events that unfold before them. The Batman was always more a detective than a super hero. What made him fierce was his absence, his darkness. Made the wrong doers think that he might be everywhere. Like Batman himself puts it "He wasn't hiding in the shadows, he was the shadow". This fear among crimials was very well presented so early on and sets the tone for the rest of the movie. This Batman movie is in a league of its own and its ending is just so perfect. Batman doesn't want to be alone however, he will endure anything, even loneliness for the best of Gotham. For the Wayne family's legacy. To be a symbol of Hope!

I could relate to the movie within the first few minutes itself. Takes me back to my school summer holidays that I spent at my native place with my grandparents, holding my grandpa's hand and walking through the market , interacting with every person on the way who seemed to know who my grand father was. My grandma's tending to the chickens warly in the morning. The movie is so down to earth with its characters and is not "in the face" with its meaningful messages and witty humors. The director has got everything right , right from the screenplay, cinematography, Santosh's music. I couldn't call this a story because everything feels so real and live. The movie needs to garner more attention. Its a movie that needs to be celebrated. The movie leaves a feeling within you that makes one thoughtful about their current life choices without outright bashing it and also provides solutions to redeem yourself while its not too late. This could join the ranks of the very best movies Tamil movie industry has seen.

Marvel has hit a home run with Avengers end game!! Couldn't have asked for more fitting ending . The movie is all about the core team of heroes feeling defeated and seeming more humane even with all their amazing superpowers. The loss and despair that the team feels is something everyone of us can relate to. If you had one chance to bet everything you have to make things right about everything you lost , would you take it? The characters are so raw, vulnerable and real in this movie than they have ever been. Its worth a multiple watch.The story, action, sputterings of comedy whenever required, screenplay everything has fallen into place. This is not a movie you will regret watching and it's for everyone. Gonna miss the best battle cry ever when cap says "Avengers Assemble"!!

ENTERTAINED!! I couldn't say as much for any other DC movie off late. Shazam is not good with it's action , not the best CGI, in no way the most popular or heroic, yet it left my stomach hurting every so often especially in the first half, thanks to the sheer comic relief it provides. Knew it was gonna be a comedy before going in yet it didn't disappoint me nor did it leave me cringing like the previous DC movies. Shazam to DC is what Deadpool is to Marvel, in terms of the score it achieves on the hilarity meter. Zachary Levi's expressions alone is a game winner, his interactions and responses with even a no name side character will leave you in splits. The end though was a little too kiddish for me as it turned full on Power Rangers mode but I'm not complaining. In it's entirety, I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to people anyday.

HELL YEAH!!! You thought you've had enough of Spiderman and BOOOM this happens. Definitely one of the best movies this year and the BEST Spidey Movie ever PERIOD. Went in with little expectations but I think I wouldn't have been disappointed even if i had had a lot of expectations. The movie is funny and gripping from the get go. Really fast paced and so damn hilarious. Its got everything you would want in it. Spidey in all "its" glory and its gets you laughing all through the movie and no matter how many synonyms I use I can't stress enough, the amount of comic relief you get :D. We always relate with spidey cos hes so normal and grounded. Even with his cool moves its so easy to relate to him than with any other superhero and you ll feel that more intensely in this movie.It's got amazing action and awesome BGM. It's a comic book come to life, like how we as kids used to picture comic books in our head and seeing something come close to that on the screen really lights up the kid in us.It is so refreshing and lively and the movie is so friggin hilarious, wait , I've said that already but nevermind cos it really is :P . I would spend all my money to watch this flick again even if I were to go broke. Watch it cos it's worth it. You do not want to miss out on watching this in the theater.

Yes you've heard and watched this kinda story a lot before. Yes it might get a little slow at times. However the two Js, James wan and Jason Momoa have definitely given DC a fighting chance to revive itself. Aquaman is visually stunning and James Wan has proved he is one of the best when it comes to telling a story seamlessly onscreen. Even when you know what's gonna happen the characters and visuals keep the movie appealing and the sheer presence of Momoa along with his charisma really keeps you entertained. I wouldn't go as far as calling it better than wonder woman. But it's certainly better than justice league . Definitely a good choice for the weekend.
