A big, brash, and unapologetic popcorn movie whose 2hr 20 minute runtime speeds by at lightspeed, Rise of Skywalker is "all Star Wars, every second of it". Invariably it will be "too much" pure Star Wars for some, but honestly this series was never intended to serve those folks in the first place. As the end of the entire series its as grand an execution as imaginable visually and narratively satisfying as a bookend can be. To those left feeling it utterly fails, Im at a loss as to what you need or want it to be. Its Star Wars, if thats your thing you should completely buy in, if its not this isnt going to convert you. Star Wars is my thing so I loved it.
