while there are several areas that one can suspend disbelief in this film .. there are other glaring logical inconsistencies that make it odd to watch while i wont go into spoilers i will give a run down of what i saw Pros: production quality of film assets is reasonably high for its budget animation quality is mostly decent some funny moments in the film cons: characters make odd or poor choices even given the G rating restrictions the boy "Ryder?" is the weakest character even though hes "the boss" when they do get their super powers (this bits in the trailer) they still for some reason tie themselves to "needing" their vehicles when they can just use their powers overall i would give this film a 6.2/10 its fun for a moment but glaring logical inconsistencies and a heavily predictable plot make this something almost not worth a once over

sadly the movie is mostly a "meh" with it some how being longer than the animated classic its copying and some of the singing sequences have far less life in them than the animated classics version story: its rather cut and paste from the animated classic yet somehow longer too production value: vfx was reasonable (as to be expected) but lacked any reasonable levels of saturation because this is a fantasy and could be made to look fantastic and vibrant writing: i mean again its mostly cut and pasted from the classic yet somehow while its longer it feels watered down character design: not entirely sure of scuttles genderswap though awkwafina did alright ... sebastion looks like hes made of hard leather and not crab shell while the rest of the sea creatures looked reasonably realistic and passable (all underwater shots are vfx) they changed the ending and made the prince useless and tied up while ariel used the ship to stab ursula which did not feel right because that literally reduces the prince down to a mary sue as well as reducing ariel to a mary sue

a fun tv show canceled for needless reasons (by canceled i mean removed from all american streaming services over something stupid) i dont care if the General Lee has a flag on it ... its just a fun show with some good genuine stuntwork and some silly antics in rural america and its simple and fun i loathe the fact that everyone is so offended by this tv show all because it takes place in the south

the movie was ok but not as enjoyable as other marvel movies and i am disappointed they cut the tony stark scene from the film story was ok at best but it could have been better the "red room" twist was neat but not as cool as i would have liked im more interested in the real super heros who have actual powers (thor, captain america, hulk. etc) this feels more like a generalized action movie with some sci-fi fun thrown in see it at a discount or wait for the nonsensical 30$ surcharge to drop from disney plus before seeing it

silly fun adult comedy ... if you go into this thinking its a kids movie then its your fault if you dont take the time to research it before hand the movie is about a sausage who goes on a sort of quest overall its (for me) an 8/10 because the animation quality is solid and it has a reasonably robust fight sequence near the end makes me want a sequel because it does end in sortof a cliffhanger but aside from that its a solid movie

has an interesting idea of revenge but there was a solid chunk of the movie where i had no idea of where the timeline was at any rate if we ignore that it is an ok movie with some fun action sequences and a good "whodunit" kind of feel to it technically this film is a murder mystery but it plays like an action thriller not worth 20$ but maybe worth 10 to see in theaters shame the middle got all tangled up like it did

a cute film with astounding effects on the animals (every animal is animated in CG) and for the most part it looks really good with the oddest looking bit being when the gorilla smiles a full smile (looks kinda like plastic) but overall a solid bit of effects that most people wont be able to distinguish these from real animals as for the story it is an OK story but i feel that it had been dumbed down a bit (possibly for children) but even with that it was a fun movie to see and Robert has a surprising range when it comes to being expressive (though this might have been from only seeing him in Marvel movies before now) even so he is a solid actor and plays the part really well in short ... silly simple fun worth seeing at least once in a premium format theater

i partially expected Will Ferrel to be in it ... but disregarding that the movie was actually pretty decent if a bit slow at times it did have a more unconventional story but i never lost interest during the movie .. the only shame is how random and sparse the showtimes are for this film .. but overall was something i enjoyed watching

its a decent movie but i wish it had more blood and viscera as well as more time with venom on screen and maybe in general more destruction but i will say as far as it goes its a fair introduction of venom to the MCU but it definitely needs a directors cut with all the blood and hard R violence i wanted to see other than the lack of blood and dismemberment its a decent movie i guess it feels like "Prototype: the movie" (look up Prototype the game) it is like that but diluted in terms of violence so it can hit that PG 13 rating which made it a slight disappointment 6/10 needs more violence and blood and dismemberment as well as consumption of people
