One of those divisive films that you either love or hate, and I guess I'm the latter. For me, it's just not funny as a comedy, but far too absurd to be a satisfying action film. Too much was lifted from Pulp Fiction too soon, and to a much weaker effect. Quoting bible verses while capping people... check. Two guys repeatedly posing with guns pointed in unison... check. Accidental gun discharge that makes a bloody mess... check. But in this case instead of a Marvin, it's just a cat, which isn't as funny, and doesn't affect the plot in any way. And along the way, many bizarre non-sequiturs and just confusing things that masquerade as jokes (I guess?)
