Andhadhun is a thriller/comedy(dark) directed by Sriram Raghavan. I am a fan of his work from Badlapur. When I saw his name as director in Andhadhun trailer it was immediately in my must watch list. Akash played by Ayushman Khurrana is a musician and live in a NGO facility for blind people. I was pretty much sure that Akash is not blind actually when I saw the trailer and I was right. Which was revealed in the first 14 minutes of the movie. In some point of the movie Akash told that it was a experiment of him. He was pretending to be blind because its brings out the good music from him. He can create much better music when he can't see. Which I understand, but what I didn't understand is the need of faking blindness while walking on the streets, riding auto or talking to a complete stranger. Script should have more deep explanation behind the protagonist's experiment. This the only plot hole i can think of in my first watch. It is very refreshing to see a fresh story in a bollywood movie after a long time. The main protagonist Akash(Ayushman) plays piano at a restaurant named Franco's and the owner of this restaurant is his love interest sofie's (Radhika Apte) father. At Franco's he met former superstar Pramod Singha whose golden days are long gone and who tries to live those age by Google himself and watching his own movie for 1000 times. Pramod loved Akash's music. He invites him into his house for a private concert at his anniversary. He wanted to give surprise to his sultry wife Simi(Taboo). And that's where the story took turn. Akash goes to Pramod's house only to find that it was already a crime scene where a murder took place. Akash's experiment didn't made him witness to the murder. But the story takes a roler coster ride from here. Ayushman is very natural in his role. He played blind without any over acting. Thanks for that. I didn't find any reason for Radhika Apte to be in this movie. Such a waste of pure talent. She was barely seen in the movie. And there's nothing to talk about Tabu's acting. She was best in this movie also. Never failed to amazed me that how she cooking a crab is also looks sexy. How does she do that??? Overall experience with this movie is very satisfying and I'd like to watch it again. rating: 4/5
