This series had me hooked! I really enjoyed learning about Jenni & the Rivera family. Despite my personal views, values, & beliefs being very different from what was shown here...normalizing the Mexican machismo, teenage pregnancy, etc. this show & the actors really played their roles accurately. The mom Rosa was incredibly spot on with her acting!! It was heartbreaking to learn of the constant heartache & pain that Jenni & her family triumphed. The loss of 2 fathers, then their mother, is the hardest pill to swallow thinking of what her 5 kids lived through. The final blow of turmoil between mother & daughter had me in disbelief especially so close to a potential reconciliation that never happened. I would rate this series 5 stars EXCEPT that the ending was a huge let down. So much emotion leading up to it for it to end just like that. Like all the buildup before an orgasm & bam it’s over & you didn’t get it. I expected to end the series balling my eyes out as the news of her demise spread across. The show gave us pain & her harsh realities all throughout that it only would’ve been fitting to end that way too.
