The ending was confusing and aggravating. Two different senerios blended together and the audience was just sitting there confused as to what just happened. If it could have been determined that the governess was interacting with dead family members the whole movie could have ended in a satisfactory scary way.. But piling on two alternative endings that were vague did not work well.
