Loved the books (especially Six of Crows)! But the Netflix show lacks the sophisticated storytelling and complex character traits that made the books so good. It felt more like a soap opera and it seemed like they either dumbed the writing down for netflix viewers or the writing was very subpar. Either way, a huge disappointment. I even woke up at midnight to watch it as soon as it was available. It seems like Netflix has gone down hill the last couple years. They've butchered a couple fantasy book adaptations and the other content has declined in quality, in my opinion. The Grisha universe is so rich and could have rivaled Game or Thrones if given the budget and good writing. That being said, I'll still watch more seasons of it gets renewed.
