**Spoiler alert** Two stars for the cinematography and the acting which sometimes seemed over the top or off or quite peculiar! The soft porn was totally unnecessary! Instead they could have added an extra episode before the end elaborating on Jonathan's character a bit to have made him out a brawny assaulter in the end...some little back stories, what actually happened between him and sasha,how the mother always tried to clean after her son,how the father was utterly blind to any atrocities by his young son..... Also,no sane person will pose that seductively,even for her life,when in a dangerous situation as being raped or to be violated with a child being in another room ....Where were her instincts as she gleefully accepted her fate? Are women supposed to be this helpless? And,do women have to be the saints always? Engaging in an affair is death sentence...... prioritising career is selfishness....... trying to make a man out of a 25year old son is evil ...wow wow wow,such a backward portrayal in current times representing a mother in a metropolitan city as London! And the husband could not have acted more disjointed and foolish.... opening scene treating the wife as ' oh my highness ' after awards night and then jump to the pictures being revealed....'oh you tramp and slut in the name of a wife ' ....a total 360 degrees turn around. Also the character of Cate holds it up for 20years so as to distance herself from the memory and waits till the last episode to finally reveal it all...a great method acting I must say 🤣 No one questions the reliability of the tale or the intentions of the old man....but the society is always just one step away to criticize a career driven successful woman at the drop of a hat .... people are supposed to be so gullible 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 *slow claps* All the expectation that builds up in the first few moments into the show crashes down a ladder due to the unbelievable premise and built up to the 'great big sob story'. The sex scenes were really unnecessary,tbh! But yes,there were cats everywhere though no one ever petted them! Sigh!

The story is the weakest part of this show. There is also no actual horror though there is a lot of build-up to instill the notion of the most dangerous spirit that for the most part does nothing. The acting was pretty mediocre. It felt like they had to serve the show with foreign references ( quote ,similar ambience of ' Stranger things' and the eerie house feeling from ' the haunting of hill House' ) mixed with Indian spices to try and impress the Indian viewers and that is exactly where this show totally feels bland for it carries the flavour of neither.

I think this show ' the good place' will actually compel you to become a good person,and if already good,then a better person or as whatever you are,to be the best version of yourself. This show is that good. It is light hearted and profound at the same time. It speaks about morals and questions your judgements without ever being preachy and it just sets out examples and creates situations which actually compels the viewer to think about the right course of action and the purported aftermath of that action. It sure compels us to believe in the aphorism that there is actually a good place within the bad place only if we see it and make it so,not alone but together. All for one,one for all. If only there were more such shows! This show is so good it can almost be shown in a class of moral Philosophy that will make it fun and educational at the same time!
