This movie has a terrible ending and that takes away from all the good that the movie did have. The way they connect why the child is bad with how he got that way is far fetched and not explained well. They could have built on that in better ways. There are no doubt parts that are scary and creepy and that child actor does a great job. You find yourself feeling very sorry for the little guy. You will be very disappointed with the mother and the end is about as cliche as it gets. Be prepared for some decent horror stuff and pretty typical things out of a movie named The Prodigy. Really it could have been better had the ending not totally sucked. I'm not kidding, it was a very bad ending. It really had promise and mixed in there were some pretty scary parts. The did leave room for a part 2.
