I don't usually leave reviews but this one deserves the rating .
I’ve seen this movie twice already and each time I go through emotional roller coaster .....
The little girl Benni was a victim of violent early childhood trauma ( diapers were pushed into her face as a baby ) which leaves her scarred and unable to control anger. Nobody but her mom can touch her face... Benni freaks out otherwise. At times its heartbreaking to watch her interactions with her mom friends social workers siblings . Her uncontrollable anger fits and her desperation for her negligent mom’s love who by the way gave up on her own child. The social workers who seem to care about Benni more than her own mom does and the way Benni flips out but also the way Benni shows love and appreciation to all involved makes you wonder could her pain and trauma ever get healed... Beautiful movie . I’ll be watching it again and again.
