This movie is one of my favorite tellings of Cinderella. It does not carry the repetitive and idiotic plot of two people in love at first glance and man who can only find a girl because of her shoe size. The costumes are true to the time period and the actors perform the script beautifully. The heroine (Danielle de Barbarac) is not a damsel in distress but a person with brains, feeling and emotion. The story is beautifully depicted and I absolutely adore it.
