This movie jumped all over the place and has a lot of gaps. How do they fall in love a d have a baby after two or three scenes together

I feel like this a cheap scripted video game. Each episode starts out the same (hey buddy help me with this problem) which the mando agrees. Then the middle is the same fight with different looking enemies and at the end he flies to another location to start again. Also, I haven't found out anything about his mando culture or about any other character because there's ABSOLUTELY no character development.
