"Hitch" is as Tom Haverford put it "A modern cinematic classic". Take the charisma of Will Smith's Alex Hitchens combined with the genius performance of Kevin James and it creates an atmosphere richer than oxygen. "Hitch" main seem surface level to many viewers out there, but let me assure you the film dissects its themes with a purpose. The narrative examines how we as a "society" view the construct of "love" and the real hardships that come with being a young adult in search of love. It teaches that real love can only come from the most authentic of places deep within our hearts. The story is able to convey these thought-provoking ideas without being dragged down by the monotony of day to day life with breezy editing and great pacing. In the word's of the titular character, "Hitch", "Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away." And this film is one breath-taking scene after another.
