Didn’t think I’d be interested ten years later but here I am. We see the cast navigate their lives well into adulthood together. Wether its a wedding, martial issues or emotional turmoil we see this dysfunctional yet beautiful family confide in each other. Surprisingly there has been amazing character development from a few of the cast members. It is satisfying to see them grow into this new chapter and recognize how important they are to each other. Yes the drama is still present but what good family doesn’t have some? I appreciate everything about it from Pauly’s gregarious nature and positivity, Vinny’s sarcasm, Jwoww’s loyalty and rawness, Mike’s new found love for food and “inspiring” quotes, Snooki’s wild antics, Deena’s kindness, Ron’s journey with his new family and Angelina’s........ well we are still warming up to her. One of the few reboots worth watching.

Though not historically accurate, it makes for an enthralling dramedy! The acting is superb. Nicolas Holt plays a brazen/narcissistic emperor wonderfully. Elle Fanning is usually cast as the soft whimsical type this show definitely highlights her strength as a leading lady. I am all for the dark humor. They managed to make a climactic first season finale as well. Well done
