I love a Zendaya movie but this was not it. I felt more chemistry between the two main guys than with Zendaya. I am honestly so happy that I watched this at home so I would take a break from this movie every few minutes. While the tennis shots were amazing and the sets were well done, the acting, the plot (was there really one?) and the music were a let down. Especially the music, like why would you play a children choir at the same time as a passionate kiss?! Don't waste your money on this movie because it unfortunately was not it. I can see the effort and it could have been great but unfortunately was not able to be what it had promised us it would be.

Spoilers Ahead The Leaving is a great mystery about six kids that go missing and come back eleven years later, fine. The mystery is enticing and I couldn't put the book down. The author really captured the hardships of being a kid that went missing and how important your memories are. I loved the creativity that was but into Scarlett's and Luca's povs. I wasn't a fan of Avery's. I found her chapters most of the time boring. I think I wouldn't have dislikes the character as much if I hadn't heard her thoughts as well. I didn't like the relationship between Lucas and Avery I think they both needed breaks from relationships so they could find out who they are by themselves. I wish Kristen pov would have been added instead of Avery's since of her relationship with Scarlett. The ending was disappointing. I wish it would have been a bigger deal that they found the body and I wish Avery didn't have the last word. Overall it was a great read. I would read it again.
