Except for the lucid storytelling using rural Assam landscape, the film really doesn't achieve much.

Good acting, great cinematography. But confused statement. Director could have been more forthright with his statement rather than showing paranormal ending.

Very well made movie. Actors did justice to their roles. One doesn't understand though how Indra recognized Pari whom apparently he had never seen. There are quite a few loose ends. Quite a few clichés. But overall a gripping narrative.

It's a poorly directed film. Very cliche. Amitabh Bachchan is intolerable. He is the biggest misfit in the character of Mirza. Extremely poor make up, looking like a clown. And his tendency of overacting kiils the character. In comparison, lesser known actors have done a far better job. Shukla ji and the lawyer to be precise. There is nothing in the story, and very stereotype events are collated. Soojit Sarkar should know that shooting in a dilapidated old haveli won't make him Mrinal Sen or Satyajit Ray. Overall a very boring movie particularly because of Bacchan. Naseeruddin Shah or Nawazuddin Siddiqui would have done a far better justice to the role of Mirza.
