Just don't understand people like Ian Rankin endorsing this book 'so smart and funny, deplorably good' not sure what book he was reading but it wasn't this one! Surely Ian Rankin who can write and is amazing-he'd pick this up and read 2 pages and bin it. Only my own opinion but it's dire, certainly not 'lol funny' boring...one of those books where you can speed read missing several pages of filling in. Wish I'd not wasted £14.99 and waited until it was in 'the works' at 99p. Richard Osman certainly has a good agent and has made a fortune from this book. I have given 2 stars , 1 for the book and 1 for Richard Osmans agent!
