Just to clarify to all of the people complaining about this book, ITS A SERIES OF VIGNETES THEY DONT HAVE A STORY LINE THEY STORIES FROM HER CHILDHOOD, READ THE DESCRIPTIONS BEFORE YOU BUY THE BOOK PEOPLE, ITS THE SMART THING TO DO, ALSO IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS GOOGLE IT. Ok now that I am done with my rant I can understand the prospective of the people saying the book is boring. Everyone likes at least one genre of book, and this one is just not for them. Personally this book was very interesting to me and I liked Esperanzas stories about her life. We see her developing through out this book and we see her making new friends and become a better person in the process. This book was great. Also read the descriptions of the books before you buy it.
