Dreadful and petty. Slow with self conscious acting.The biggest crime was that the gorgeous location was lost with poor cinematography. So much potential lost. A bummer.

Do not bother.Especially if you have enjoyed excellent filmakers.This is a vomitous mess and Eggers wasted a mountain of $.

Slow but thoughtful film.The damaged veteran and his daughter Tom portrayed the deep bond well and beautifully simple.Tom was the most nuanced actor in the film in my opinion.The mountain community were a delight..Note to director. Pubiic land police are never as aggressive as the film portrayed. They would never handcuff the father w/o asking for I.D. and never reading miranda rights.That was an amateurish portrayal.

Could have been a 20 min student film.That is all.

First 2 seasons were very good. Season 3 is all amped up and parts of the scripts are not believable. Watched 2 episodes of Season 3 and stopped.
