As a stand alone sci fi period drama yeah it's great I enjoyed it. But when you add War of the Worlds as the title and use the introduction at the beginning it becomes garbage as it's only a little like the book with a lot of added extras, I did appreciate the stuff they did get right. If you're expecting a great adaptation you're better off watching the Tom cruise version and that's saying something. So disappointed. Can we get a decent adaptation at some point please?
