I had high hopes that the movie would continue the legacy of the original. There was so much direction to go. Unfortunately, this one came to a dead end. The whole premise of the movie was fine: the search for the male heir to the throne. But, the execution fell flat. Terrible writing with subpar acting. It was a money grab based on nothing, but nostalgia. They got all the big names so they can hand out checks and some residual income. The entire film has an identity crisis unsure whether it's a musical or normal movie. In popular nature, let's not forget to add political correctness and be woke around every corner. Throw in a rape joke that Cardio B would be proud of and that's the flavor of the movie you get. Tasteless!

This movie was all flash with no substance. Nothing of the story was explained well and the songs were dubbed over poorly making it feel disingenuous. It had elements from other movies thrown in, but they all fell flat. This should've been a stage musical instead.
