I'm completely flabbergasted and blown away with the content provided by in this novel. It had so many layers to the main as well as supporting characters. Bethany though was alone but the author could still give her pillars of strength in the name of Suzie and Trisha, if I am correct with the names. (Don't mind the error, if any, as I read this novel like 1-2 months ago.) I read the author's insta post so felt like putting the review because she truly deserves this from my end as a genuine reader.
Going about the guy's side, it's amazing. Gerald is like any other book boyfriend, I can say. He is calm, composed, sorted. He knows what he wants in his life. But his brother and entire family is there too to help him out if need be. He's one poor soul I would say who falls for such a girl who right now isn't ready for a long-lasting commitment. It makes me feel pity for the guy. I mean like dude, you can get another girl in that time. But he proves his feelings right till the end. Despite facing endless issues from the girl. Not to be offensive, but the woman, Bethany, is totally a goner in her head. She has no idea what is life giving her at every decision she chooses. She effing owns a tattoo parlor and I have no idea what she would end up doing to her parlor if it were not for the two girls managing the daily operations behind her back. Like I felt she was literally gone from her parlor half the time. But maybe that's what I felt. The author could have shown around more parlor and indoor settings. Most times, It felt like touch and go scenarios in most settings. Though, overall the story held the reader's attention. The suspense to the leading lady's daily F ups was epic to the T. I was curious till the end to know what the hell is going on and why is the woman behaving like a child when she's seriously an adult and an entrepreneur on the top of that. Well, the entire ending and epilogue did make sense for all the pent-up tension. So, in entirety, this novel was worth the read if you want to mess your head for a long time only to bring it back to one piece with a sugary happy ending.
