Great adaptation of the book, I read the series with my sons. More grounded and realistic (as far as you can with this genre). Loved the deeper dive into Alex's personal life, his friendships and motives. This was only touched on in the books and was my favorite parts. The expansion of the story with the Department and Alex's friends' storylines added depth and interest. Great casting with Otto as Alex, Brenick as Tom and the other characters. Also a good call making Alex a bit older. Nice balance of action, character development, and story telling. Looking forward to season 2. Hopefully we get to see Scorpia on the screen as that is a real emotional rollercoaster for Alex, along with good action.
