I’ve collapsed before. Time stops exactly this way. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia and the other names it’s known by, mostly presents itself in women. The film is a poetic observation about the most deathly disease I’ve known, and I’ve known cancer and brain tumours.
It’s a deathly disease because it’s unclassified and under-appreciated and hardly understood by popular culture. We know more about migraines than we do about CFS and ME, and migraines don’t kill.
This film is also about how to stay among the living when you’re sick. Overall a masterpiece. No wonder Rotten tomatoes gives it a hundred percent.
