TV series- I have to disagree with the majority. I thought it was depressing and over the 12 episodes I disliked the characters more and more. At times both characters are mature and act like fully functioning adults but when it comes to their relationship they are incredibly immature. I would not recommend this series, maybe the book is better. I found the characters dull, the on again, off again relationship was so frustrating. I get that the writer was trying to show a" normal" teenage/young adult relationship but I'm sure most children would be able to communicate better than these two. Marianne seems to like men who treat her badly, I would even go as far as to say abuse her and Conne ll is a wet blanket, neither have much of a personality.
